I'm a proud native of Awendaw, SC, a small, close-knit community that holds a special place in my heart. Raised in a loving home, my passion was deeply inspired by my late Grandmother, Emily "Momma" McNeil. Educated in Charleston County schools, I continued my studies at Benedict College, graduating Cum Laude with a degree in Child and Family studies in December 2014. My journey has been enriched by personal experiences, academic achievements, with over 15 years in childcare and teaching, and active community involvement. With a bright spirit, strength, and vision, I've embraced leadership and I am dedicated to helping our communities flourish. Growing up with the belief that "It takes a village," I now nurture my purpose by keeping that belief alive through Momma's Care!

Why do you believe it’s important for children to learn and grow with love?
I believe love is essential in how children grow because it’s the foundation for everything they’ll become. When they feel truly loved, they feel secure, confident, and like they belong. It gives them the courage to explore, make mistakes, and learn without fear. I see how my love shapes their sense of self-worth and their ability to trust and care for others. It’s in those everyday moments—hugs, laughter, and even the way I guide them through challenges—that I’m helping them understand what love is, so they can carry it with them as they grow, and one day, share it with the world.
